By stage-nanhijaan

We celebrated the Children’s Day at PGIMER on November 14, 2012. The event was fun for both the children and volunteers from Nanhi Jaan. The Nanhi Jaan team spent almost five hours interacting with children and their families. Lots of goodies were distributed to the children. A special word of praise for team member Vandya who got all the packets made as also made all the arrangements. Unfortunately, due to some prior commitment, she could not attend the function. We would also like to thank Dr Bhavneet and Dr Vinay from PGIMER and the wonderful Teen team – Archit, Sahil, Mehul, Shrey and Sahiba.

Gursewak

By stage-nanhijaan

Unfortunately, Gursewak, the second child adopted by our Project expired on November 23rd, 2012  because of severe sepsis and renal failure. Immediate cause of death was massive pulmonary haemorrhage. Nanhi Jaan Project thanks everyone (and especially the P.G.I. doctors who worked tirelessly to make Gursewak better) for the support and encouragement and donations. Our heartfelt condolences go to the bereaved family. The loss of a child is the worst trauma for any parent. Our prayers go out for the family. However, let this setback not deter us from our mandate… that is to help the underprivileged children. Let this incidence make our resolve stronger. Nanhi Jaan forever!
